Meals on Wheels
This program supports the independence of community members by providing a hot, well-balanced noon meal 365 days a year. Count on our meal delivery every day between 10:30 a.m. and noon — rain, sleet, or snow!
Meals on Wheels has been delivering hot meals in the Pontiac city limits for more than 50 years. This program serves anyone — no age or income restrictions apply. The meals include a variety of cooked meats, vegetables, salads, fruits, and desserts, and the charge for this services is only $5 per meal. Meal recipients are billed monthly. If you are interested in this service, please call (815) 844-6131 and ask for our Dining Services Department to set up services.
Grief Support Group
Support groups bring together people facing similar issues, whether that’s illness, relationship problems, or major life changes. Members of support groups often share experiences and advice, which can be helpful just getting to talk with other people who are in the same situation. While not everyone wants or needs support beyond that offered by family and friends, you may find it helpful to turn to others outside your immediate circle. A support group can help you cope better and feel less isolated as you make connections with others facing similar challenges.
Evenglow’s Chaplain is available to meet for personal prayer or pastoral counseling. Please call (815) 844-6131 ext. 267
