Director of Development

Evenglow Senior Living seeks a candidate for the position of Director of Development. This position, reporting to the President & CEO, is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive strategy to grow Evenglow’s donation, legacy and capital campaign programs, as well as building relationships to cultivate and increase Evenglow’s donor portfolio.

  • Must have a passion for quality care for seniors and the ability to connect with the cause in a way that inspires others to give.
  • A desire to lead a comprehensive Development program in a role which ranges from data entry to writing and public speaking, to developing strategy for donor prospects with 5-figure and 6-figure giving potential.
  • Comfortable meeting with and successful in building relationships with a variety of individuals and constituent groups. Strong track record of success in building relationship in order to reach organization goals.
  • Must be able to build relationships with donors, board members, staff, the greater Livingston County community and local churches
  • Public speaking skills to raise the profile of Evenglow Senior Living
  • Capital campaign experience a plus
  • Non-profit and/or faith affiliated organization experience a plus.
  • Must exemplify a high standard of ethics.

Full Job Description

  • Evenglow is a faith-based senior community offering quality services and care in the Pontiac area. Evenglow seeks a conscientious and responsible person to join our Maintenance Team. The successful candidate will have at least four years of experience in building maintenance or home repair. Work is general maintenance to buildings and grounds. The normal schedule is Monday–Friday and rotating on-call. Position will require varied start times for weather, maintenance, and other building-related emergencies. Evenglow is looking for a strong self-starter who values working independently and appreciates the strength of working with a team. Attendance will be critical to your success at Evenglow.
